Chairman Mike Rogers Endorses Army Ranger and Former Defense Fellow David Giralt for Congress

CASPER, WY — David Giralt, candidate for Congress in Wyoming, today announced the endorsement of Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee—where Giralt previously served as a Defense Fellow under his leadership.

Having worked closely together on national security issues, Chairman Rogers highlighted Giralt’s firsthand experience and readiness to serve. 

“I’ve worked alongside some of the finest conservatives in Congress, and I know what it takes to deliver results for the American people,” said Chairman Rogers. “David Giralt has the backbone and the principles to hit the ground running in Washington. Wyoming punches above its weight on national security and energy policy, and David Giralt will ensure it stays that way. We need more members who will stand firm on a strong national defense, secure our homeland, and fight to ensure that our military remains the best fighting force in the world. Giralt brings more than a decade of frontline military leadership and national security experience to the race. During his 12-year active-duty career, he served in some of the Army’s most elite units, including the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 82nd Airborne Division, where he commanded troops in multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan. On the battlefield, Giralt saw firsthand how adversaries like China and Russia seek to undermine American interests—experience that continues to shape his America First approach to national security.

Beyond combat leadership, Giralt was selected as a Department of Defense Fellow to Chairman Rogers, working directly with lawmakers on the development and passage of the annual National Defense Authorization Act—one of the most critical pieces of legislation for America’s military and national defense. He later served three years as an Army Congressional Liaison, representing the Department of the Army to Congress.
