Meet David Giralt

David Giralt’s life is the American Dream lived out in Wyoming. Born in 1991 to parents who legally fled communist Cuba and Costa Rica, David was raised by a mom and dad who came to America to work, not to ask for handouts or import the broken systems they escaped. After Hurricane Andrew devastated South Florida, his parents did what so many patriotic families have done: they packed up, headed west, and put down roots in Casper, Wyoming—drawn by freedom, faith, opportunity, and neighbors who look out for each other.

Growing up in Casper, David is a true Wyomingite. He learned early that freedom is not free, that hard work is expected, and that you have a duty to the community that raised you. Active in church and Boy Scouts, he crisscrossed the Cowboy State on camping trips, conservation projects, and leadership training; at just 14, he became an Eagle Scout, an experience that cemented his character and love for service. His parents insisted every summer include something physical, something spiritual, and something academic, teaching David that real growth means challenging yourself in every area of life.

After graduating from Kelly Walsh High School in 2009, David earned both a varsity soccer scholarship and an ROTC scholarship to Colorado Christian University, where his faith deepened and his commitment to serving something bigger than himself took root. Commissioning into the U.S. Army during wartime, he did so knowing he would deploy to combat, determined to defend America and hunt those who attacked us on September 11th. He earned his Ranger Tab, led 43 soldiers as a young platoon leader at Fort Lewis, and was selected into the elite 75th Ranger Regiment, deploying to combat under Commander-in-Chief President Donald J. Trump and leading Rangers against America’s enemies.
David was later selected to command a company in the 82nd Airborne Division, where under President Trump’s leadership he led 93 paratroopers in Afghanistan and earned the Bronze Star Medal for combat leadership. His record of service earned him a coveted Department of Defense Congressional Fellowship, allowing him to continue serving under President Trump by working with Congress on defense policy and national security. David didn’t just vote for President Trump—he fought for America under his command.

Family Life

After 12 years of active-duty service, David and his wife came home to Casper, to a place where freedom still means something, hard work is rewarded, faith is essential, and neighbors still know each other by name. As a Conservative Republican, David believes good citizenship demands more than just voting; it requires showing up, getting involved, and being willing to serve wherever you are needed. Wyoming needs a fighter who knows how Washington works and won’t back down when the left attacks, and America needs leaders who have actually served, not just talked about service. David’s parents sacrificed so their children could live free—and he is running for Congress to make sure their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of so many Wyoming families like theirs, is never in vain.
